We arrived at Helsinki airport early this morning to a very unexpected system shock. After a descent through a stratus layer almost 2000' thick and less than 1000 above the ground we found out that it was 8 degrees!! And it's been that temperature the entire day. The weather was always going to be bad because we're soon to start the first gliding comp, but this weather is just ridiculous. Hope it clears up and heats up. I didn't pack many warm clothes.
We've had a tour of the whole airfield and facilities. We even met the glider quickly. Jet lag is kicking in and it's only 17.30.
I always found a coupla beers helps with jet lag! What's the time zone change?
